of the bullshit I have to deal with regularly....

A woman comes to my front desk today to visit an employee and while she's waiting she askes me what direction North Beach is from downtown. I point her in the direction and give her specific streets to go down and she says, "Oh, so it's pretty much west of here?" And, I say, "No it's north." And, in my head I'm screaming, "NORTH Beach, N-O-R-T-H Beach, NORTH BEACH! Not fucking WEST Beach, BIOTCH!"

Now granted, she was a tourist and I realize that in another part of town North Beach very well might not be north. But, goddamn! I get so sick of fucking people! I'm not a map, I'm not even a very good receptionist! See, this is the mood I'm in today. Perfectly well-meaning, harmless tourists ask perfectly innocent questions and end up gutted with their entrails now decorating the lobby.

I think I'm calling in sick tomorrow.
