Ok I was here (at this idiot job) until 10:30 last night. that sucks, but guess what. Didn't return until 10:30 this morning. Core hours are from 9:30-2:30, so I missed that by a bunch and boss knows. I have my monthly one on one with him Monday. Can't wait to hear about how I am not setting a good example for my staff. Blow it!!!!!

amen to that. so what do you do that you dislike so much? i do shipping/receiving. ill be honest, the job isnt bad. the pay.....its actually pretty damn good for what i do. its just that i walk around and people look at me like this little piss ant , wont get out of my way when im moving 300lbs of material on a dolly,.........anyways, corporations are all the same. same players, different names. this is #3 for me. we use to be a dot com and then darth vader came in and decided to make us all imperial soldiers.
even as much as i hate my job choosing me instead of me choosing it, im just glad i have a job......
people ask, why dont you leave? because im in the middle of working on a career on the side and I need to keep working until im finished training. or until my band is famous....haha
right
well .........we all do jobs we dont like sooner or later. out here its sink or swim and jobs are scarse.
now dont get me wrong, i havent conformed, im not in love with the job, its just right now its the most important tool i have to make the money to do what i want and to buy my music gear.
you sound like you dislike your job a lot more than me. i give great massages, ill stop on by one my way to anchorage to see lisa bunny

Fri, January 23, 2004 - 2:38 PMI'm so freakin' glad it's Friday, too! I work for a non-profit as the receptionist and I want to kill people on an hourly basis. I'm going to quit in a couple months. I just want to take advantage of my medical and dental insurance while I have it. Man, there are so many times throughout the day when I want to tell my boss to shove this job up her big fat ass, tho! -

yes, take advantage of that insurance while you can. today i made a doc appt, a dentist appt, and a vision appt. i figure you never no in this economy how long things will last, i pay for those benefits out of my check and should use them.

The problems with my job are various and all compound on each other. The job its self is boring, I'm an auditor of mostly hospital finacial data and compliance auditing to ensure compliance with Medicare rules of reimbursment. And these rules continuously change thanks to our great Congress.
My great company two yrs ago March called our dept together. The CEO came and told us they gathered us to tell us that they were not going to renew our contract and give you all 6 months notice; however this morning we were issued a subpenoa (sp? ) by the OIG office. So we don't want to leave a sinking ship and want you all to save our skins. So for now we have our jobs. At any time we could be given 6 months notice. People bailed, so most of us our under a "secret" incentive contract. Feb is one year into the contract with 8 months to go, which is why I don't leave now. But my attitude and others has changed. And of course the company line now is we are in business like before. Not to worry about losing your job.
And because I am so paralyzed I'm in no condition to job hunt anyway. I told my boss recently that I was bored. Maybe that was too much honesty. Should have told him that I needed some more challenge or some crap like that.
It's a rough year overall for me, not just the job. Seperated from my husband in May, been dating (well that's mostly all good), and this damn winter is Seattle is very bad for me a So Cal girl. Anyway this is what I will tell my Dr this afternoon and that I need some time off to get my shit together. Or at least open the idea and say I'll try to keep going.
And I do make good money for what I do. It is highly specialized and the people here are great, so it is hard for me to understand why I am so disinterested, but I truly am.
Agent Smith I will be seeing your many of your doubles this weekend as my netflix has delivered the 2nd Matrix to me. My feet are waiting! :)
As far as insurance use it. Especially the dentist!
