I hate mine. At my company, the only way that we'll be able to get a Commuter Checks/public transit stipend is if HR approves it. Mind you, EVERYBODY in the office takes public transit, and I need public transit to do my job.
HR claims that they're "doing research into the matter". That was two months ago. A month ago, I DID all the research, and sent them a package. Took me less than 30 minutes, mostly web-surfing. Called a week later and asked what was going on.
"Oh, we're still doing research. Thanks for the lovely package, but we'll be letting people know when we've worked out all the details."
Arg....

Called to follow up on the whole commuter checks thing. The Washington DC office contacted them about it, and they're now "making progress on it."
By the time it takes to get things done, I expect to be getting commuter checks by the time I retire.
